I've been playing guitar for only a year or so. I think I have made pretty good progress, and I have gotten very into it. Theres nothing like just turning all your feelings inside into a song on the strings of a Gibson guitar. Below is a list of the equipment I use and links to the manufacturer's homepages.

I have a Gibson SG Special Faded guitar. It has a beautiful sound, but can sound extremely distorted as well.

My amplifier is an 80 Watt Crate amplifier.

I have a Morley "Bad Horsie" Wah Pedal and a Digitech RP-300 with a drum machine hooked up so I can make my guitar sound like almost anything.
